Registration
A one-time registration is required before the first rental. Registration is free of charge, only a travel credit of 1 euro must be deposited to verify the selected means of payment, which can be used later.
- Complete the online form in full
- Enter your Ruhr University Bochum e-mail address
You will then receive an SMS with the PIN to activate your account and an e-mail with the link to confirm the partner link.
Rental
Use the nextbike app to scan the QR code on the bike and the frame lock will open automatically.
Ride break
Want to park your bike without ending the rental? Simply activate the ride break mode in the app and close the lock.
Returning the bike
Park the bike at an official station and press down the small lever on the frame lock. A service fee of 20 euros will be charged for returns outside of these locations.
